My Final Music Magazine

This is my overall music magazine which took me about a day to complete. I thought that the layout of my magazine was to be very important. The use of the large image at the background covering part of the title shows the importance of the image and shows that the image is one of the main features, you can also tell this from the image being the largest one on the page. I noticed that alot of other music magazine did this effect too. Taking little bits of the interview out onto the front page shows the juicy bits and draws the reader in making them want to read more. I noticed that alot of NME magazine front covers did this. A less significant band featured in the magazine is pictured at the side. They are smaller showing that they are not as important as the main artist 'sophia' but still want to be noticed as the image is layed over the larger picture. Both images are cropped and cut to show how sexy and cool the artists are. All the text is written in gour different colours, red, black, yellow and white and this was the theme throughout the magazine. Alot of other magazine chose either three or four main colours to theme their magazine. In some sentences you can see that they are a different colour to eachother, for example 'Down to the flesh'. The word flesh is written in a different colour and it stands out. The use of this draws the audience in to read the most decriptive word making them want to read more. The body language of the background image shows that the person is happy and content and contrasts well with the writing below. The two parts go together well by the writing telling you what the artist is like now and is proven even more by the face and body language.
